AMBASSADORS are a group of 40 volunteers who are employed or sponsored by Chamber Members. Ambassadors were established to be an Official Host for the Odessa Chamber of Commerce. Their responsibilities and activities are important in the growth of our community.

BENEFITS OF BECOMING AN AMBASSADOR

As an Ambassador you will have the opportunity to meet new chamber members and welcome new businesses to Odessa. Also, it is a great networking tool for growing your business.

HOW TO BECOME AN AMBASSADOR

In order to become an Ambassador, there are certain regulations that need to be met. 1st Must be employed by or sponsored by a firm who is a member in good standing of the Chamber or must be an individual Chamber Member. 2nd In order to retain Active membership, you must attend a minimum of 50% of all scheduled Ambassador events, such as: Ribbon Cuttings, Ground Breakings, Red Carpet Greetings and Host Events. 3rd Agree to purchase uniforms and badges and pay yearly dues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Activities
Anything that benefits the Chamber of Commerce is our prime objective.

Ribbon Cutting & Greeting Duties
Ribbon Cuttings recognize a member’s achievements — such as Grand Openings, Anniversaries and Expansions.
Ground Breakings — recognize new businesses or expansions with ground breaking ceremonies.
Red Carpet — Greeters welcome visiting dignitaries with true West Texas Hospitality.
Hosts — Ambassadors are the Official Hosts of the Chamber of Commerce at selected events.
Luncheons — A monthly Ambassador Luncheon is scheduled on the fourth Tuesday of every month.

AWARDS

Ambassadors receive awards based on enthusiasm, cooperation, and participation. Three types of Awards are:

Ambassador of the Month
Rookie of the Month
Ambassador of the Year
