Word from the Chair

I am so honored to be associated with the Odessa Chamber of Commerce. It is one of the many organizations in our community that makes me be proud to be an Odessan.

For more than 15 years, I have actively volunteered with this organization. Like you, I want to do what I can to improve our City and make it a better place for us to live, work, and raise our children. As a native Odessan, I am fortunate to have many fond memories of growing up here. When I graduated from college, I made a conscious decision to move back to Odessa because I knew there was an overwhelming amount of opportunities and that it was a great place to live. I have never, for one minute, regretted that decision. In fact, I would live nowhere else!

Each day, I am amazed and empowered by the number of people who are proud to be living in our community and want to work hard to do their part to improve upon what our forefathers started. We are a group of hardworking people, who have a heart and overflowing passion for our community and the opportunities that lie ahead. This translates into more jobs, an improved quality of life, a host of extracurricular activities and more things to do and places to go than time allows.

Your work today with our Chamber and our Community means a better Odessa tomorrow. The challenges are great, but the payoff is plentiful. On behalf of the Odessa Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Staff, I say thank you for being part of the ongoing work and can-do attitude. It truly is the people who make the difference and allow our City to stand out amongst the best.
